Life Long Memories Photography - Children's Photographer in Fredericskburg, Va - A Fall day at the Beach
Now that's a title I can honestly say I never thought I would be using. Fall days and the beach don't normally mix in this area , but I was thrilled when this fall day in particular was warm and sunny. I can't think of any other place I would've rather been that morning than with these three adorable sisters and their sweetheart of a mom. We ran and played and jumped through sand piles. Anything to keep baby sister happy and engaged. Her two big sisters were pros, and knew exactly how to jump in and help when needed. Such a pleasure to capture this family for the first time.

Life Long Memories Photography - Children's Photographer in Fredericskburg, Va - A little Ray of Sunshine
Ahhhh...a much needed little ray of sunshine on this dreary day here in Fredericksburg, Va. Just love the feel of this session. His little smile is infectious and everything he does is done with such enthusiasm and spark you can't help but join in and giggle along. We met at a nearby Battlefield the day after some wet weather, so had fun sloshing through the fields and jumping in as many mud puddles as we could find. Enjoy!

Life Long Memories Photography - Family Photographer Fredericskburg, Va - Mother to Teenagers
As a mother of teenagers, especially boys, I know how hard it can be to get some hugs and kisses from them on a semi regular basis. If your kids are anything like my 14 year old son, he looks at me as if I have two heads when he sees me coming in for a hug, and pulls and tugs away as fast as possible when I do get him in a arm lock. Luckily I still have my three little ones that still come to me quite frequently for mommy snuggle time, and I try and soak up every minute I can. There's something about their little heads that fit snug under your neck and their little arms that squeeze as hard as possible around your waist. Then I start the "mom rock" where you sway back and forth and could just hold them forever, I know you moms know exactly what I'm talking about.
You may recognize this young man from my senior post earlier today. I went back recently for a family session, and love these snuggle shots with mom. I know she will treasure them always, as I'm sure she knows exactly what I'm talking about with the lack of hugs from your older kids.
Love this red tree we found nearby, so couldn't resist using it as a backdrop for some extra pop. Fall colors in Virginia can be breathtaking. So sad that most of the colors have faded, and leaves fallen to the ground, but there's still a pop of color here and there to enjoy for a few more days at least.
So mom's of little ones, hug those babies close and don't forget to take time to enjoy every second of them, because they will be teenagers before you know it!
Have a great evening everyone!
Life Long Memories Photography - High School Senior Photographer - Sneak Peek
I have such a great time with High School seniors and am hoping the rain holds off for one I have scheduled later on this afternoon. This senior was great to get to know and was one of the sweetest guys I've met. His family is amazing too, and thanks to his little sister for helping hold the reflector throughout the session! I love the shot of him and his cool red jeep!
Many more Sneak Peeks to come in the next couple weeks as I wrap up the marathon of sessions I've had recently. If you're waiting on yours, I have not forgotten you.

High School Seniors are so much fun - Life Long Memories Photography
I am so far behind in sharing Sneak Peeks and such. Trying to fit as many photo sessions in before the weather becomes too cold to shoot outdoors and I close for the holidays, leaves little time for the computer work needed after the session. But that is all coming to a close, so keep an eye out over the next couple weeks for your Sneak Peek if you're still waiting. Introducing you to a recent High School Senior I had the pleasure of working with. She goes to High School with my daughter and won one of the Gift Certificates for a free session and slide show I donated to last years After Prom party. We hit it off right away. She was so warm and bubbly and I had so much fun showcasing those beautiful eyes. Thanks for peeking!

Holiday Closing Reminder - Life Long Memories Photography
I wanted to post a reminder for the announcement (see below) I posted on Sept 20th. There is still time to place your orders for holiday gifts and cards, so contact me today. For all the sessions I have already scheduled for the next couple of weeks, you will definitely have your photos before the holidays.

After careful thought and consideration, I have decided to close Life Long Memories during the holiday season (November 15, 2011 – January 9, 2011) to spend more time with my family and prepare my 5 children for Santa’s visit. Isn’t it hard to believe that we are even talking about this right now? It seems like it was the 4th of July just yesterday. No need to worry though – I still have a few session slots available on a first come basis. If you were planning on having holiday portraits done this year, please contact me right away to reserve your spot! All sessions and orders put in before November 15, 2011 will be ready in time for the holidays.
The only exceptions during this hiatus will be maternity and newborn sessions because I realize these are very time sensitive and would not want you to miss out on capturing those special milestones.
I am looking forward to a busy fall with lots of rich colors and fun families.
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me.
And because no post is complete without a photo to share...

Fall Family Portrait Session - Life Long Memories Photography
It's been awhile since I've had time to blog, fall sessions are in full swing and keeping me hopping. The fall colors are just amazing right now, and I love the jewel tones this mom chose to compliment the season. You may remember this sweet family from this time last year. I look forward to getting together with them every year around this time, which is the kids birthdays and just in time for holiday gifts and cards. Their costumes this year were just as cute as ever! Enjoy!

Life Long Memories Photography - High School Senior Photographer - Blue Eyed Beauty
This gorgeous high school senior was so much fun to photograph this past weekend. Her and her mom both were so sweet and helpful holding the reflector and moving things around their amazing family property. It's so exciting to show up at a completely different location and find so many great spots to work with. So many favorites, but here a few of my top picks. Have a great night everyone!
Life Long Memories Photography - Senior Photographer in Fredericksburg, Va - Trash the Prom Dress!
All the rage with the teenagers and brides these days. You can choose to "trash" the actual dress you wore, or one that you find at a thrift store, just for fun. It's all about taking the fancy/formal outfit and being photographed doing things that you would never normally do in it. Urban settings, in the water, dirt everywhere type stuff. Here's a recent session I did with my daughter, a senior at Massaponax High this year. This has been in the works for months, so it was fun to finally get a chance to bring it all together. We had a blast, in spite of the crazy mosquitoes. Her poor back and arms were covered for days afterwards. Oh the things we'll do to get "the shot!" :-) Thanks for looking.
