Life Long Memories Photography - Children's Photographer in Fredericskburg, Va - A Fall day at the Beach

Now that's a title I can honestly say I never thought I would be using.  Fall days and the beach don't normally mix in this area , but I was thrilled when this fall day in particular was warm and sunny.   I can't think of any other place I would've rather been that morning than with these three adorable sisters and their sweetheart of a mom.  We ran and played and jumped through sand piles.  Anything to keep baby sister happy and engaged.  Her two big sisters were pros, and knew exactly how to jump in and help when needed.  Such a pleasure to capture this family for the first time.

Life Long Memories Photography - Children's Photographer in Fredericskburg, Va - A little Ray of Sunshine

Ahhhh...a much needed little ray of sunshine on this dreary day here in Fredericksburg, Va.  Just love the feel of this session.  His little smile is infectious and everything he does is done with such enthusiasm and spark you can't help but join in and giggle along.  We met at a nearby Battlefield the day after some wet weather, so had fun sloshing through the fields and jumping in as many mud puddles as we could find.  Enjoy!

Life Long Memories Photography - Family Photographer Fredericskburg, Va - Mother to Teenagers

As a mother of teenagers, especially boys, I know how hard it can be to get some hugs and kisses from them on a semi regular basis. If your kids are anything like my 14 year old son, he looks at me as if I have two heads when he sees me coming in for a hug, and pulls and tugs away as fast as possible when I do get him in a arm lock. Luckily I still have my three little ones that still come to me quite frequently for mommy snuggle time, and I try and soak up every minute I can. There's something about their little heads that fit snug under your neck and their little arms that squeeze as hard as possible around your waist. Then I start the "mom rock" where you sway back and forth and could just hold them forever, I know you moms know exactly what I'm talking about.

You may recognize this young man from my senior post earlier today. I went back recently for a family session, and love these snuggle shots with mom. I know she will treasure them always, as I'm sure she knows exactly what I'm talking about with the lack of hugs from your older kids.

Love this red tree we found nearby, so couldn't resist using it as a backdrop for some extra pop. Fall colors in Virginia can be breathtaking. So sad that most of the colors have faded, and leaves fallen to the ground, but there's still a pop of color here and there to enjoy for a few more days at least.

So mom's of little ones, hug those babies close and don't forget to take time to enjoy every second of them, because they will be teenagers before you know it!

Have a great evening everyone!
