Halloween Came to out House this Year...In a big way!

Happy Halloween Weekend everyone!  So thankful for this gorgeous weather to celebrate it.  Every year my children ask me why we don't decorate the house for Halloween.  We always carve pumpkins and I try and pick up a gorgeous fall mum or two, but that's about as far as the decorations go. This is the busiest time of year for photographers, preparing for all the holiday sessions and honestly, they're lucky the Christmas tree gets up in time for Christmas.  This year, I was delivering client orders and was completely inspired by the adorable decorations they had out!  The black cats, witches and pumpkins were so festive!  I ran out that day and grabbed some decorations of my own & surprised the kids when they got home from school with a Halloween ready house.  I know, I know...the picture frame on top of the TV doesn't have a picture in it, but it will eventually...I promise!  Just wanted to share Halloween at the Long household this year and wish you all a Happy Halloween!

To Infinity and Beyond...and YUMMY 1st B-day Cake!

These boys kept me moving, as this is the 1st birthday session for the little guy, and he has been walking for months.  Big brother was just adorable in his Halloween costume, and Dad was even cuter in his matching one!  Definitely his son's Super Hero, and with the costume to prove it!  This was the first time the baby had tasted cake, so the sweetness was pure sticky sweet yumminess!

Little Super Hero's!

This lovely family is always so much fun. Mom picks the best costumes every year.  You may remember them last year as the Princess and the Frog, and the year before that they were a Butterfly and a Caterpillar, adorable!  There was a stray cat following us around the entire session.  It would not leave us alone.  I had to keep strategically cropping it out of their shots because it didn't seem to be able to get close enough, poor thing.  I look forward to seeing them every year!

Life Long Memories Photography- High School Photographer

I am on a blogging roll today…wanted to share another recent High School senior that I had the pleasure to photograph.  This fresh faced beauty has the most amazing hair and gorgeous green eyes.  The wind picked up throughout her session, giving us a natural fan to showcase it a little.  I teased her and thanked her for bringing that along.  Her formal dress was gorgeous!  The sparkles/sequins looked amazing on her…definitely a knock-out dress!   The days are limited for this year to get in for your senior session as the weather is beginning to slide towards winter.  If you planned to use Life Long Memories Photography for your senior session, contact me as soon as possible to get on the calendar.

Football...A Love/Hate Relationship

So...as many of you know, Football has completely taken over our schedules the last couple months.  With Kyle playing for Thornburg, Gabriel through Parks and Rec, and Bryson playing soccer there's been barely a moment to catch our breath with all the several times a week practices and game schedules, and trying to squeeze portraits session in-between.  Many nights we are triple booked with events, which makes for some very interesting coordinating on my part.
I have had my kids in soccer for years, and love the non-competitiveness and niceness of the sport.  Don't get me wrong, I love to win as much as the next mom, but in my experience if the soccer teams lose there's a sense of "Great job kids!' and "We'll try harder next time" Not so with Football.  I was totally unprepared for the fierceness and demands that are put on the little ones, even in the Peewee leagues.  Anthony doesn't share my concerns of course; he played in High School and loves everything about the boys being in it now for him to coach from the sidelines.

Thankfully, soccer has ended and football is winding down.  I couldn't resist suiting Kyle up in his gear and getting some shots...he's always so easy in front of the camera.  I swear he could model someday if he chooses to...still need to find a day to get some shots of Gabriel in his football gear, and Bryson in his soccer stuff, but wanted to share Kyle in his gear.  I have to admit, as much as I gripe about the Football thing, he sure does look cool!

Life Long Memories Photography- High School Senior Photographer

I had the best High School Senior sessions this past weekend!  Here’s a sneak peek from the first session that started the weekend off.  She was just as warm and bubbly as her smile suggests, and up for anything.  We had a great time showcasing different outfits and capturing her interests this year.  Enjoy!

Fredericksburg, Va Infant and Newborn Photographer - Little Prince

This little bundle of sweetness was a dream to photograph!  He joins two older sisters, and is clearly the little prince in all of their eyes.  Mom wasn't feeling "picture ready", but dad was up for some skin on skin snuggles.  Can't wait to photograph him again at 6 months in his baseball room, with the coolest baseball mural on the wall!
