Fall leaves, Big Boy Room and Cake Galore

This little man’s 1 year session was quite the event.  It was bittersweet for mom and me, as we’ve had so much fun planning each session over the last year…discussing places to go and cool things to do at each one.  Luckily we have many years of fun ahead of us with him, and it’ll just get better and better.  He looked so cute in his chunky fall sweater and baby Ugg boots!  How cute is he!?!  We were a little worried because it was pretty chilly and we started early in the day so the leaves were still damp, but he quickly warmed up and turned on that adorable smile I love.  His big boy room was his 1^st birthday gift from mom & dad, so we slipped up to capture him and his favorite playmate in his awesome new Pirate bed!  Love the Parrot at the top lookout, keeping watch.  It was amazing to look at and I know he’s going to have many hours of pirate fun in his new space.  The “Smashable” birthday cake was the finale for him…smashing his fingers into it and licking the yummy frosting off over and over!  It will make a great “1^st Birthday Collage” to remember it always!

A warm fall day...

We began our session at the train, and then moved on to location number 2, to finish up.  The sisters were so cute together...you could hear snippets of whispered secrets being shared, and lots of giggles and happy moments between the three.  The day was gorgeous and unseasonably warm for fall.  Mom remarked she had chosen the outfits anticipating a cool, crisp fall day and they were almost overdressed.  We enjoyed the warm sunshine on our backs and some beautiful memories to last a lifetime.

Daddy's Little MVP

I look forward to catching up with this lovely family every year.  When the kids were younger, I had the pleasure of seeing them every few months to capture the latest milestones, but now that they’re a little older we get together in late October to capture some updated memories and holiday card shots each year.  This year they brought along their team jerseys to show off their team spirit and the kids perked right up, running and throwing the football back and forth.  Love the one of Dad and son…makes my heart melt!  Thanks for peeking!

Out and About in Downtwon Fredericksburg

I was so excited when I received an email from one of my clients to photograph her new extended family.  She wanted to do something different other than trees in the background so we agreed to walk around downtown and capture some unforgettable memories.  It was such a beautiful fall day and the kids were very excited to be in front of the camera.  The girls love for one another really shined through.  The pictures are intended for holiday gifts and I think the recipients are going to be very excited to see them. 

High School Seniors - Life Long Memories Photography Style

This handsome guy was able to turn "it" on and off with ease throughout his session.  No easy task for him, since he'd been up almost the entire previous night celebrating Homecoming!  Once he woke up a bit, we quickly rolled through his session so he could get some rest.  Mom and little sister came along for some fun shots!  Love this one of the 3 of them jumping together!  Such a cute family. So many favorites to share with him and mom, but a Sneak Peek for now.  Enjoy!

Life Long Memories Photography- Sweet 3 month Session

This adorable 3 month old sweetie and her lovely parents were such a pleasure to capture.  We decided to hold the session in her beautiful lilac nursery, and she snuggled and cooed so sweetly the entire time.  The puppies were dying to come in and join the session, so dad had to hold them back while we worked.  I couldn’t resist snapping a shot of him restraining them…you can just see the excitement and anticipation on their little faces.  They just adore that little baby as much as mom & dad do.  Looking forward to capturing her milestones over the next year, many sweet memories to come.

Fredericksburg, Va - High School Senior Session

High School Seniors are the best!  I had a flurry of girls to photograph first, then a group of boys scheduled. This handsome guy was a dream in front of the camera, with the most amazing eyes.  His mom and I have been planning this session for well over a year, so it was fun to get it done.  Golfing is his passion, so we started at the Fredericksburg Country Club to showcase where he plays.  Riding around on the golf cart to the different locations was a blast and they were kind enough to give me some golf pointers, which I quickly realized I knew nothing about!  A few of my favorites to share…

Fredericksburg, Va Maternity Portrait Photographer

This adorable couple was full of giggles and fun, and couldn’t stop snuggling.  Dad came home on leave for a few days, so we were able to meet up to capture their baby bump before he headed back out.  The day called for rain, so we were so worried we wouldn’t be able to get together, but the rain held off and gave us just enough time to finish up.  Looking forward to meeting their new baby in a few weeks!
