What a difference a few years makes…

I’ve been planning this session with my oldest son Kyle for a long time now.  He has a natural ease in front of the camera and he totally inspires me.  He likes to come up with his own ideas for poses and such too, and those many times tend to be my favorites.   Of course, he’s also the one of my five who when he decides he’s “done” there’s no convincing him to get back into it.  

He is about to finish up 8^th grade and become a high school freshman this fall.  He picked the Bass to play in the beginning of 6^th grade…the one instrument that I asked him not to pick, of course, and though I was a little annoyed that it was the most expensive and hardest to find, I had to admit it was a pretty cool “prop”.   I took him out for a session then, and have a 20x30 canvas hanging on my wall.  When I see that canvas, I barely recognize the little boy captured there.  The baggy jeans, the round face and the innocent eyes that look back at me.

He's grown so much in the past couple of years and love the difference I see when I compare both sessions.  I'm proud of the young man he's becoming and wanted to share the difference with all of you.  Don't forget to capture your babies at this stage too!
